Doug has a broad range of experience in all areas of trial work, civil litigation, data breach law, corporate law and legal writing. Doug began his professional career as a civil engineer for the Illinois Department of Transportation, obtaining his Professional Engineering license in 2006.

While working for the State of Illinois, Mr. Brewer also pursued a Master’s degree in Business Administration and was awarded his MBA from Bradley University in 2007. Doug also has extensive experience in drafting construction contracts, plans, and specifications in addition to consulting with governmental and community stakeholders for a variety of transportation projects.

Doug and his wife Janelle moved to San Diego in 2007, where he obtained his Juris Doctor Degree from the University of San Diego School of Law. He has handled all aspects of civil litigation, from both the defense and plaintiff points of view. In time, it became apparent his calling was to help individuals achieve justice, overcome real problems and give them a big leg up moving forward.

While not practicing law, Doug enjoys hiking, riding his motorcycle, working out and spending time with his family.
