SAN DIEGO DATA BREACH ATTORNEYS

Have you been
the victim of a data breach?

The FBI reported that, since the start of the Covid-19 pandemic, cyberattacks against consumer information have increased by more than 300% now more than ever, and the businesses that collect the personal and financial information of California consumers are vulnerable to data breaches.

Without even realizing it, you may have suffered a data breach. Recent studies have shown that nearly 64% of Americans have never checked to see if their personal information has been subjected to a data breach. It is likely that you, or someone you know, has suffered a data breach, perhaps without realizing it.

The key reason for this is that most Americans are unaware of how to find out if their data has been breached, or even if they are aware, they don’t know what steps to take. Contact Brewer Law for a free case consultation.

New legislation

LAWS TO PROTECT YOUR DATA

As a result of the sharp increase in cyberattacks over the past decade, government and consumer regulators are drafting legislation to protect vulnerable personal identifiable information, “PII”, stored on commercial networks. These new laws require businesses who operate online stores to comply with state and federal laws, including the recently enacted laws requiring consumers to be notified if their PII was subjected to a data breach.
